Class of 2029

Highlighting issues, taking action, making change......because change doesn’t just happen by itself.

I am Abdul Mannan Hassan from Lahore, Pakistan. As part of the talented and ambitious DKU Class of 2029, I am specifically passionate about leadership, innovation, and community building.

My journey has shaped me into someone who leads with empathy, vision, and responsibility. For me, leadership has always been about service. As the Student Government President at Nixor O Levels, I learned how to bridge perspectives, and act decisively. At Lahore Grammar School, as the President of the Von Neumann IT Society, I introduced RFID smart systems and partnered with The Coding School to provide free Quantum Computing courses to Pakistani students. I learned from these experiences that recognizing genuine issues and working together to address them is the first step toward bringing about significant change.

At DKU, I want to bring that same spirit to the Student Leaders Board. I’m applying because I see the SLB as a platform for dialogue, representation, and innovation. My goal is to improve student advocacy by making sure that all voices, particularly those of marginalized or quieter students, are respected and heard.

I strongly believe in empowerment, transparency, integrity and inclusion. As a student who values these principles, my goal is to extend them to the entire DKU student body. I believe highlighting problems is not enough anymore. Solutions must be backed by research and not just rhetoric. As a board member at SLB, I vow to make impact through relentless, uncompromising effort because real action, real solutions, and real change will help shape a DKU experience where every student feels empowered to lead, create, and innovate.
