I love connecting with people, offering support when they need it, and helping others feel confident

I am Tianming Fu, a sophomore majoring in Applied Mathematics at DKU. I have learned to approach problems with structure, precision, and creativity. Beyond the classroom, I have consistently sought opportunities to connect people and strengthen communities, and this is the motivation that drives my interest in joining the Student Leadership Board.
My leadership journey began in high school, where I served as both Secretary and Event Coordinator in the Student Council. I was responsible for managing internal administration, organizing events, and communicating with school departments, external organizations, and other student bodies. These roles taught me how to balance logistics and collaboration, anticipate challenges, and bring diverse ideas together to achieve shared goals.
At DKU, I now serve as a Peer Mentor, supporting freshman students as they transition into college life. This experience has deepened my understanding of student needs and reminded me that leadership is not just about directing but listening and helping others find their positions and voices within a new environment.
Being part of the SLB represents a chance to contribute these experiences to a broader DKU community. I hope to strengthen communication between students and the school, help design events that foster inclusion and DKU spirit, and ensure that all students feel represented and supported. I am eager to collaborate with other board members who share a commitment to building a vibrant and connected campus.
Through the SLB, I aim not only to contribute my organizational skills and mentorship experience but also to grow as a leader who bridges ideas into action and helps shape a more cohesive student community.
