A proven leader who listens and acts. Eager to be a voice for all, shaping an inclusive campus.

My name is Jinxi (Jayson) Han, an 18-year-old freshman at DKU. I am a proactive student leader with a proven track record in community engagement. My leadership journey began in high school, where I served three years in the student union, culminating as Student Union President. This experience helped me develop strong competencies in project management, stakeholder communication, and collaborative problem-solving. Beyond student governance, I actively participated in the Volunteer Club, taking on diverse roles such as serving as a campus guide during School Open Days, organizing morale-boosting activities during the National College Entrance Examination, and hosting the annual sports meet opening ceremony. These experiences honed my ability to connect with diverse groups and execute events that strengthen community bonds.
I am excited to apply for the Board Member position on the Student Leaders Board. After reviewing the SLB’s mission, I am impressed by its strategic role in fostering intercultural dialogue, advocating for student needs, and driving tangible campus improvements. The Board’s work in establishing initiatives like the Language Partners Program aligns perfectly with my hands-on approach to leadership. I am particularly drawn to the SLB’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive campus environment, and I believe my background has prepared me to contribute effectively to this mission.
If selected, I will focus on two key areas. First, I will leverage my event hosting experience and passion for sports to organize regular intramural tournaments that promote physical well-being and intercultural engagement. Second, I will champion campus sustainability by proposing practical initiatives such as clean-up drives and green dormitory competitions, making environmental stewardship an engaging priority for every student.
I am eager to bring my energy and dedication to the Student Leaders Board. I am committed to being an accessible representative for my peers and confident I can help make DKU a more vibrant, supportive, and sustainable community.
