International Student Services (ISS) is a department within the DKU Office of Student Affairs. ISS is dedicated to helping international students integrate into life both at Duke Kunshan University and in China. This includes services related to Chinese visa application and processing, passport renewal, and residence permit application/renewal for international students coming to China. Additionally, ISS actively organizes activities to promote connections between international students and Chinese students within the DKU community and the local Kunshan community. We are committed to providing a full range of services for international students at DKU from the start of your journey through your graduation.
Our mission is to ensure international students’ successful entry into the People’s Republic of China, to oversee the compliance with Chinese laws and regulations and most importantly, to cultivate high-quality educational and intercultural experience at Duke Kunshan University and in China. ISS works collaboratively with student, staff, faculty, parents, local government, and authorities to build a dynamic, inclusive, and respectful community where everyone’s voice is valued.
Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM- 5:30 PM. We are located at the Community Center East Building of DKU, Room 4111 & 4121, on the 4th floor. You can contact us by telephone or via email. Our office team is comprised of International Student Services professional staff, interns, and student assistants. Our team members are here to assist international students at DKU to enter China smoothly and integrate into campus life.
