Exploring the rich diversity of world cultures on campus
World Culture Expo is an annual festival at Duke Kunshan University that introduces and celebrates the rich tapestry of traditions, languages, and customs represented by our diverse student body. Throughout the expo, students travel—both virtually and in person—to Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. International Student Services and Student Affairs host a dynamic lineup of pop‑up restaurants, language‑exchange cafés, trivia nights, hands‑on cooking lessons, music performances, and more—each event designed to deepen understanding and share the cultural depth our community brings to campus.
Interweaving Warmth and Enthusiasm, Creating Beautiful Memories
In the first year of the program’s revival, we were surrounded by genuine warmth and excitement. From heartfelt conversations around the dinner table to shared family traditions, each host family and student brought unique stories that enriched our community. The sharing session highlighted these moments—laughs over dumpling-making, cultural exchanges at tea ceremonies, and new friendships forged across borders.
