My name is Ruikang Wang, an Environmental Science student at DKU, deeply committed to interdisciplinary exploration and fostering community growth. At DKU, I’ve cultivated leadership, innovative thinking, and cross-cultural communication skills, applying them to impactful projects. I feel grateful for the opportunities DKU has given me and hope to give back by contributing meaningfully to its continued growth. I am applying for the Co-Chair position because of my deep love for DKU and its transformative impact on me. DKU has expanded my global perspective, sharpened my interdisciplinary abilities, and nurtured my passion for bridging cultures. I am eager to give back by addressing the challenges we face as a community and helping DKU thrive as a harmonious and innovative institution. If elected, I will prioritize three core goals: Building Unity: Strengthening collaboration between Chinese and international students by organizing cultural exchange initiatives and open forums. Championing Sustainability: Launching programs like “Green Campus Week” to promote eco-friendly practices and inspire student-led environmental efforts. Amplifying Student Voices: Creating a feedback channel where every student can voice their concerns and see them addressed in actionable ways. DKU is at a pivotal moment and is navigating uncertainties in global relations and rapid institutional growth. I see these as opportunities to build a resilient and united community. As Co-Chair, I will leverage my experiences in public speaking, environmental advocacy, and cross-cultural leadership to guide our diverse community through these challenges. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities and create a brighter, more sustainable future for DKU. Together, we can shape DKU into a stronger, more unified community that reflects our shared vision of global citizenship and sustainable impact. I am ready to lead with integrity, purpose, and passion for the betterment of DKU.
I’m Bikalpa Panthi (Bikki), a sophomore at DKU pursuing an intended major in Data Science. Beyond academics, I have worked in professional roles at four educational organizations in Nepal, driven by my belief in transforming the world through education. This belief continues to inspire me in my role as a student partner for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) here at DKU. In a community as diverse as DKU, I aim to connect individuals from different backgrounds, fostering unity and understanding. I actively build relationships across various student groups and organize events that encourage participation from people with diverse perspectives. By acting as a bridge between these groups, I aim to learn more about global cultures and promote inclusivity, aligning with both my personal goals and the university’s mission. My experience in leadership roles has equipped me with a strategic mindset and a genuine passion for serving the community. As a co-chair of the DKU Student Leaders Board, I am confident I can contribute by facilitating dialogues between students and administration, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. This aligns seamlessly with my commitment to creating spaces where innovation, inclusion, and community can thrive. One thing I promise is authenticity. I will remain the same person you see in this application—no empty promises, just a dedication to sustaining the great initiatives already happening on campus and introducing new ideas that will help a larger group of students thrive. “Together, let’s unite and make Bikki ‘be the key’ to empowering DKU students.”
