My name is Helena (Yuhan) Wang from class of 2026, and my major is Global Health with the track of biology. I have been actively involved in various roles that have honed my leadership, organizational, and research skills. As the Vice President of the DKU Volunteer Association, I have made core decisions for the management of the association and have been instrumental in liaising with school departments, sponsors, and other clubs. This role has allowed me to provide training to volunteers, ensuring the smooth running of projects within the school. Through my work as a student worker in the InE department and CEM office, I have learned basic office skills. I am familiar with various departments of the school and have a certain foundation for communication with school departments. The scientific research experience in school and the internship experience outside school have enriched my professional knowledge. My desire to apply for the Student Leaders Board stems from my innate drive to make a positive impact on the DKU community and beyond. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the development of student leadership and to foster an environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. I am particularly interested in working on projects that promote health awareness and community engagement. Additionally, I wish to collaborate with fellow board members to streamline communication between the student body and the university administration, ensuring that student voices are heard and valued. In summary, my background in global health, combined with my leadership experience and passion for community service, positions me well to contribute meaningfully to the Student Leaders Board. I am eager to bring my unique perspective and dedication to this role, working towards a more cohesive and vibrant student community at DKU.
