Class of 2029

I am an effective communicator, a collaborative team member and an experienced organizer.

I am Yilin Wen, a student from class of 2029, and you can also call me Ellie. I am now the treasurer of Bakery club. I am also an applicant for SLB. In my free time, I have lots of hobbies, for example listening music, playing Guzheng, and traveling.
The reason why I apply for the Student Leaders Board is that I believe my strengths in communication, organization, and helping others align perfectly with the role of a student leader. I am a member in Student Union in high school, and my main duty is event coordinating, during that process I gained rich experience about communication and cooperation. I think being a student leader not only improve my own ability, but also contributing and making our campus a more inclusive and supportive home for every student.
If selected, my primary goal is to enhance the first-year student experience. Having just gone through the transition myself, I understand the challenges of adapting to university life. I am willing to set programs to help all freshman get integrated into university life as soon as possible and help them understand every department of the school so that they can make use of various resources.
Furthermore, my ultimate aim is to be a dependable bridge between the student body and the administration. I am committed to listening actively, advocating passionately, and working collaboratively to turn ideas into reality. Thank you for considering my application.
