Misunderstanding is the inevitable fate of those who express themselves, yet I persist in making my voice heard.

Hello, I am Jinghan from Beijing. As a first-year student at Duke Kunshan, I’ve immersed myself in both academic pursuits and campus life. In high school, I embarked on a journey of leadership that shaped my character and ignited a passion for community service. As the student union president, I was weaving together the fabric of our school community, ensuring every voice had a platform. Our largest event, the ‘Unity Fair,’ brought together diverse cultures under one roof, a testament to our collective spirit. My tenure as the vice president of the Rubik’s Cube Club was more than just solving puzzles; it was about solving the real-world challenges of connecting with the visually impaired community. Our ‘Cubes for Sight’ initiative opened new dimensions for blind children, allowing them to experience the joy of problem-solving through touch. On a personal level, the SLB has been an integral part of my university experience. It’s where I can find a sense of purpose and community. Joining the board is my way of giving back and shaping the experiences of future students. My commitment to the SLB is fueled by my passion for student welfare. It’s more than just a role; it’s a calling to serve and to make a meaningful impact on campus life. My philosophy is simple yet profound: ‘Ensure that every voice resonates and receives its due echo ‘. I aim to bring this to life at DKU by creating a feedback system that not only listens but also responds, empowering students with a sense of ownership and participation in their academic journey. I am eager to contribute my vision, energy, and experience to make DKU a place where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, we can turn DKU into a beacon of student empowerment and community engagement.
