The Mid-Autumn Festival has been celebrated in many East Asian countries for thousands of years as a time for families to gather. The most popular festivity on this day is moon-watching, where although sometimes you are not able to be with your family and friends physically, you know they are looking at the same full moon and thinking of you. At DKU, there will be booths of various traditional Mid-Autumn Festival activities and games for students to learn about East Asian culture and celebrate the festival together!
Get ready for the biggest, most-anticipated party of the year! Hosted by the Campus Activities Board, you will get the chance to carve pumpkins, trick-or-treat, enter the costume competition, play games, and take photos with your friends. And don’t forget to visit our super-scary haunted house for a thrilling adventure!
Thanksgiving Dinner is a cherished tradition that brings students and faculty together for a warm and festive meal. With engaging activities and meaningful interactions, this special evening fosters connection and gratitude, offering a moment to reflect on the blessings of the year and celebrate the community we share.
The 2025 Culture Carnival, usually taking place in January, is a vibrant celebration of global cultures. This week-long event features diverse activities, including an interactive tabling event – trivia and interactive games, a captivating Culture Runway Show, and a festive Chinese New Year Market. Guests can explore artistic talent at the CISK Paintings Exhibition and Author’s Talk, engage in multicultural exchanges at the Language Table, and enjoy Food Sharing Night and Movie Night. The grand finale, Stage the World – Culture Performance showcases dynamic cultural performances, making this carnival an unforgettable experience for all.
The Senior Banquet is a special celebration dedicated to the graduating class each year. Hosted in a beautiful venue, this formal dinner offers seniors a memorable evening to gather, reflect on their journey, and enjoy one last joyous occasion with their peers before embarking on their next chapter.
